The Shetland Superb Divan Mattress

When the Shetland Superb is supplied as a divan set it is normally supplied with the Wool Sovereign pocket sprung divan base. The Wool Sovereign Base has 1344 Hand Nested Pocketed springs and a screwed and glued solid timber frame, covered with insulating wadding and a ticking case is calico lined for added protection.

Divan Upholstery (When supplied as a divan set)
Two Layers of 250gsm heavily needled British fleece wool and overlaid with 600gsm softly needled British Fleece wool. Covered with your choice of finest quality ticking or upholstery facric from the Vi-Spring collection. Vi-Spring reserves the right to alter specifications without notice.

Shepherd castors are fitted as standard unless other options are specified when ordering.


Skirts are extra cost option on this divan.

The Shetland Superb Mattress Upholstery
Upholstered with 600 grams per square metre softly needle teased British fleece wool, then 950 grams per square metre hand-teased real Shetland Isle fleece wool, overlaid with two layers of British fleece wool. Covered with your choice of fine worsted wool upholstery fabric from the Vi-Spring collection. Hand tufted with hand-tied woollen tufts and twine.
 
Mattress Border
23cm deep with three rows of genuine hand side-stitching. Eight horizontal handles on King Size and above. Air vents on all sides. Borders upholstered in protective wool. Finished with piped ticking.
 
Mattress Springs
1.52mm wire springs 60mm in diameter sewn in individual calico pockets, hand-formed into a honeycomb nested unit. Contructed with Two layers of springs.
